Our Story

WHERE WE COME FROM

Built to solve the problems others weren’t solving.

Before Slice Media existed, our founder spent years on the other side of the industry; inside Nigeria’s advertising regulatory system, working directly with advertisers every day. What became clear from that vantage point was simple: advertising was treated as a purely commercial tool. There was no room for using platforms responsibly, for institutional capital-building, national orientation, or public good, unless there was money attached to it directly.

We founded Slice Media to close that gap. Between strategy and communication. Between creativity and commercial performance. Between purpose and measurable growth.

Founded in 2014, Slice Media has grown from that conviction into an integrated strategic communications and brand advisory group operating across Nigeria and beyond, with reach into Asia, Australia, North Africa, and the Americas through campaign work, diaspora audiences, and international visibility.

Our Philosophy

HOW WE THINK

Strategy first. Always.

We believe every brand is ultimately a leadership challenge. The strongest organizations are built when strategy, culture, communication, and customer experience speak the same language, consistently, across every touchpoint and every audience.

Advertising without strategy creates noise. Strategy without execution creates frustration. Creativity without purpose becomes decoration. Research without action becomes forgotten data.

Our philosophy is simple: we begin with the business question, not the creative answer. We build from insight, not instinct. And we measure everything against outcomes that matter, not activity that looks impressive.

Our Approach

HOW WE WORK

From insight to impact — one connected team, every stage.

We move brands through three connected phases using one accountable team across every stage, so nothing gets lost in handoffs between vendors.

01. Strategy & Visibility: We establish the foundation: a clear brand identity, placed where it will actually be seen. Through OOH and billboard advertising across Lagos’s highest-traffic corridors, including the 3rd Mainland Bridge, paired with brand strategy and positioning work.

02. Production & Authority: We build the proof behind the presence: in-house creative production through Slice Studios, and priority access to feature placement in Maestro Africa, giving a brand earned-feeling credibility that paid placement alone cannot buy.

03. Distribution & Amplification: We push the credible story everywhere the audience already is: leadership and executive broadcast appearances, paired with digital distribution and performance marketing that turns reach into measurable leads.

Our Values

WHAT WE STAND FOR

The principles that guide every engagement.

Clarity over complexity. We make things easier to understand, never more complicated.

Evidence over assumption. Every recommendation we make is grounded in research, not habit.

Strategy over spectacle. We are not in the business of impressive work. We are in the business of effective work.

Excellence without exception. The standard of our work is not determined by the size of the budget. It is determined by our own expectations.

Partnership over transaction. We work with clients, not for them. Their challenges become ours.

Candour over comfort. We tell clients what they need to hear, not what is easiest to say.

Responsibility by design. We believe profitable businesses must participate in creating public good. That is not a side commitment. It is written into how we operate.

Our Global Outlook

WHERE WE OPERATE

African ambition. Global standards

We are headquartered in Nigeria, Africa’s largest economy and one of the world’s most dynamic and complex communications environments.

We apply international standards in research, strategy, creative, and production to markets that demand cultural fluency and contextual intelligence.

We have delivered work across government, financial services, infrastructure, development, healthcare, and consumer sectors in markets where the cost of miscommunication is often measured in more than revenue.

We believe that the most interesting and consequential communications work in the next decade will be done in Africa. We intend to lead it.

Slice Back

BUILT TO GIVE BACK, BY DESIGN

15% of everything we earn goes back.

Before founding Slice Media, our founder spent years watching advertising treated as a purely commercial tool, a reach for sale, with no responsibility attached. Slice Media was built to prove that a for-profit agency could operate differently.

Slice Back is the structural expression of that conviction: 15% of Slice Media’s revenue, committed every year, to campaigns and platform access for causes, NGOs, and small and women-led businesses who could never otherwise afford a platform of this scale.

It is not a year-end gesture. It is a policy, written into how we operate from day one.

What Slice Back means in practice:

  • We do not run direct advertising for alcohol or betting brands, with rare exception for campaigns that carry genuine social value. This is a strict policy, not a soft preference.
  • We have supported the KOL Foundation’s Water Relief NGO initiative, currently serving 17 communities and more than 10,000 lives.
  • We have partnered with the Dangote Foundation, the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service, and a network of NGOs and civic initiatives through our Slice Partnerships programme.
  •     We actively support small businesses, women-led initiatives, and causes through both pro-bono platform access and funded campaigns under Slice Back.

Leadership

THE PEOPLE WHO LEAD OUR WORK

When experience leads, better outcomes follow.

Our leadership team is your working team. At Slice Media, senior people are present in every briefing, every strategy session, every client review. We do not have a pitch team and a delivery team. We have one team, and it is the best one we have.
